Ottawa Wins State!

As you know from an earlier post, Brett's all-star team made it to the State tournament in Haysville, Kansas! Well, after a great 5-day family vacation/baseball tournament in Haysville, Brett has earned his badge of honor and is a STATE CHAMPION! The Ottawa 9-Year Old All-Stars made their way through the tournament undefeated (5-0) by run-ruling every team they played in 3 innings and emerged victorious! It was fun time and a memory that Brett will have forever!

Molly's 7th Birthday

Even though July was a very busy month, we certainly didn't forget Miss Molly's 7th Birthday! The weekend before her actualy birthday she had a family party at our house and then we headed to the swimming pool for a big blow out, complete with watermelon and popsicles (although it was only about 80 degrees as it rained all day until the sun came out 1 hour before party time)! On her actual birthday (July 16), she spent the day with mom having lunch and getting her first manicure and pedicure! It was a great girl day!

Getting Back To Normal

I have definitely been slacking on the blog posting but it has been a crazy, hectic summer and I just now feel like I'm finally getting it all together! The kids went back to school on Aug. 14 so things are back into a somewhat normal routine! Here is a picture from their first day of school:

Brett - 4th Grade, Molly - 1st Grade

Molly has started soccer and her first game is September 6 so I'll get pictures posted from that. Brett had such a busy baseball season that he is taking the fall off and resting up for basketball season!
