Molly's 7th Birthday

Even though July was a very busy month, we certainly didn't forget Miss Molly's 7th Birthday! The weekend before her actualy birthday she had a family party at our house and then we headed to the swimming pool for a big blow out, complete with watermelon and popsicles (although it was only about 80 degrees as it rained all day until the sun came out 1 hour before party time)! On her actual birthday (July 16), she spent the day with mom having lunch and getting her first manicure and pedicure! It was a great girl day!

Getting Back To Normal

I have definitely been slacking on the blog posting but it has been a crazy, hectic summer and I just now feel like I'm finally getting it all together! The kids went back to school on Aug. 14 so things are back into a somewhat normal routine! Here is a picture from their first day of school:

Molly has started soccer and her first game is September 6 so I'll get pictures posted from that. Brett had such a busy baseball season that he is taking the fall off and resting up for basketball season!

We're Off To State!

Brett's all-star team has qualified for the state tournament! We are leaving to caravan to Haysville on Thursday, July 24, with 12 other families. The team plays Wellington at 2:15 on Friday, Haysville at 2:15 on Saturday and Cottonwood Valley at 3:15 on Sunday. If they are one of the top two teams in their pool, they will advance to the double-elimination tournament on Sunday. In between all of the ballgames, we will be camped out at the hotel swimming, playing video games and attempting to keep 12 very active boys busy! Check back for tournament updates!
